Happy New Year.

I hope everyone is settling back into their regular routines after a much needed break.
The teacher's are in full swing of programming with some renewed creativity.
Last week we had an outbreak of Ookpik's in the classroom and they are outstanding to look at. The kindergarten kids listened to the Denis Lee poem about a snowy owl and then made these quirky looking birds as the Ookpik for their inspiration. If you are in or around the school this week it would be worth stepping in and taking a closer look at the wonderful creativity of our 4 and 5 year olds.
Great work inspiring them, Sandy!

Our preschool is hosting a play this coming weekend and we are talking about Little Red Riding Hood to prepare the children for this performance. The Monday CA+ class created these watercolour forests and the detail in these masterpieces are quite intricate. A simple taped border around the edges makes for a professional looking art piece.
I know I will be hanging my child's up at home...what do you think?

On behalf of the teacher's I would like to thank all the parents that participated in the group donation for the teacher's holiday gift. Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated.
Thanks for checking in...Karen
